Kristi S. Kroenlein, MS, APN-BC, FNP
A life long interest in health care, at age 14 Practitioner Kristi Kroenlein began as a candy striper volunteering her time in a pediatric unit. At age 16, she became certified as a nursing assistant and worked as such until she graduated from college. She earned a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from the University of Illinois in 1990. In 2002, Practitioner Kroenlein graduated from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville with a Master's Degree in Science and a postgraduate degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. She is currently a PH.D candidate at Northwestern University where she will receive her doctorate degree. She is Board Certified by the American College of Nursing in her specialty and an active member of the Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nursing. Her professional interests are managing patients with Diabeties, High Colesteral, Asthma, and Depression, as well as Women's Health.
She continues to advance her knowledge and skills through professional conferences and workshops. She also serves as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students who are earning their Master's Degree and as lecturer at local Universities. She believes that learning is a life long process and that we can all achieve our personal and professional goals, no matter what our age.
Her personal intersts are flower/water gardening and restoration of older homes. She and her husband, their collie and 4 cats reside in Peoria, in one of the historic homes they have lovingly restored.
Lesley Brinkman-Mosiman, MD, F.A.C.O.G.
A native of Peoria, Lesley Brinkman-Mosiman received her bachelor's degree from Loyola University in Chicago, her master's from Bradley University in Peoria, and M.D. from Rush Medical College in Chicago. She performed her residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria from 1986-1990.
Dr. Brinkman-Mosiman received the State of Illinois National Board of Medical Examiner's certification (1986) and became a Fellow of the American Board of OB/GYN (1992). She later served as Clinical Instructor for the Department of OB/GYN at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (1986-1995), the University of Illinois MECCO Student Summer Program (1990-Present), and the Department of Family Practice at Methodist Medical Center (1990-Present).
An active member of the Tazewell County Medical Society, and the Illinois State Medical Association, Br. Brinkman-Mosiman was employed by Park Ridge OB/GYN 1990-2002. She has been with The Women's Center for Health since 2002. She served on the Pekin Hospital Tissue & Transfusion Committee (1991-1995) and was President of the Pekin YWCA (2000-2001) and the Tazewell County Medical Society (1999). She is also past Chairman of the Pekin Hospital OB Department.
Dr. Brinkman-Mosiman lives in Pekin with her husband and two college age children & 2 yorkies, keeping fit by walking and biking and is invloved in many community activities.
